The 2026 OC Jewish Demography Study is the first comprehensive demographic study of the Orange County Jewish community. Funded by the Samueli Foundation and conducted by the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies at Brandeis University in partnership with NORC at the University of Chicago, it provides insights into the size, characteristics, and needs of the local Jewish population.
Data was collected through a multi-method approach including an online survey of Jewish households in Orange County, supplemented by community engagement and outreach to ensure broad participation across all segments of the Jewish community.
Thousands of community members contributed their voices to this study, making it the most comprehensive picture of Jewish life in Orange County ever assembled.
The study was funded by the Samueli Foundation, reflecting their commitment to understanding and supporting the Orange County Jewish community.
